Friday Night Lights
Endora is on the color guard team at her high school, (OMG! SHE'S IN HIGH SCHOOL!) so that means we get to see the Friday Night Lights. Zzzzz. I loves my Bears, but could never get into college football, and certainly not high school. I guess I don't mind the first half, but after her half-time show, I'm ready to go. She has to stick around until the end of the game, then has to change clothes and remove her make up and after all that, the poor kid is starving so we hit McD's for something to eat. We didn't get home until 11:30 last night. I doubt I will be doing this every week. Fortunately Hubs bought seats we can put on the bleachers that cushion the butt and provide some back support. (I can't find a link for these). I was really surprised at the team spirit the kids there showed. I know that the kids who even go to the games are the ones who have it in the first place. The only games I ever went to was when I was in band and had no choice, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. Our team is the worst in their division, but what cracks me up when ANY team is the clear underdog is the fan reaction when they finally do score. If the score is 1,000,000,000 to 0 and the underdog finally scores fans will go wild chanting "We're number 1! We're number 1!" Ya gotta admire that kind of spirit and support.
Thanks everyone for your support while we say goodbye to our dear and loyal friend. That means a lot. It seems the
death knell has been ringing over the Witch house. Obi-Wan Kenobi died 2 weeks ago too. That was hard too. I
know he was a hamster, but I never had anything die in my hands. I tried to give him what comfort I could during his last days. I think he felt it. I hope he did.
