No gold for me.

And thats really ok. I tried, but got overwhelmed between trying to finish in time, work and most of all, some really serious stuff going on in my life. It got to the point where the project wasn't something to do to relax in the evening, but more of a chore. Once I let go of that, I was able to enjoy knitting again. I will probably finish this week-in my own time. I might have finished in time, but hated the whole thing, the shawl AND this event.

I did make more progress on it in a shorter amount of time than I have on any project in the past. AND I've learned to do YO (not like they are hard, but I've never done any kind of shaping until now). AND I have learned how to unknit a row. (halfway through a row, I accidentally started purling instead of knitting. I managed to unknit back to where I could continue in the correct pattern). So while I didn't complete the whole challenge, I did learn new things so I consider myself a winner anyway. Once I'm done, I will post pics of my "Crash and Burn Knitting Olympic Shawl".
